Symmetry is at the fore of Pindan Homes’ The Avon display, a five-bedroom home simultaneously offering the benefits of modular construction and the best in Australian living at Orange Grove.

The display opened a few weeks back and has attracted visitors from all over the state thanks to its modular nature, according to Pindan Homes General Manager Simon Greenlaw.

“The Avon is an example of a family home that feels warm, cosy and like a ‘real’ home, and that’s how Pindan’s modular range differs from the competitors – we’re building custom, quality homes for regional and remote communities,” Mr Greenlaw said.

“We’ve had people fly in from Derby and drive up from Esperance to see it, not to mention locals from the Perth Hills showing a huge interest.”

While it can be costly to build in remote and regional locations, Pindan Homes’ modular homes are constructed in Perth and can be transported far and wide.

The convenience and accessibility of the build style is one thing, but The Avon is an impressive display in its own right. Its symmetrical floor plan will please the family perfectionist, while five bedrooms offer versatility and room around a central living hub.

“The symmetry of the home is achieved by housing all the living and entertaining areas in the centre, and then flanked on either side by the bedroom wings,”
Mr Greenlaw said.

On one side of the home is the minor bedroom flank, with each of its three rooms featuring built-in robes and sharing access to a large bathroom.

The opposite flank hosts a resort-style master suite with a his and her dressing room and master double vanity ensuite, as well as a private guest wing.

At the home’s heart is its open-plan living/kitchen/dining space, which connects to the outdoor alfresco via bi-fold windows and doors.

Mr Greenlaw said the home’s outdoor spaces, including a wraparound verandah, were conducive to the archetypal Australian lifestyle.

“The design fundamentally plays at the heart of Australian country living – from being able to entertain outside from the bi-fold windows in the kitchen right into the back verandah to having a spot to place an outdoor setting anywhere around the home, in any direction to take advantage of views and natural landscape,” he said.

Materials were chosen to suit the rural landscape, with careful attention paid to what was used and how it was used in the delivery of The Avon.

“Products are sourced specifically for the rural environment,” Mr Greenlaw said.

“They’re cyclone-proof and cater to requirements for harsh environmental climates such as full sun, clay and difficult surfaces, with low maintenance in mind.

“There is a six-star energy rating to help guard against the freezing cold to extreme heat climates across the state of Western Australia.”

With rural locations in mind, Mr Greenlaw said large acreages and lots would make the ideal location for The Avon.

The Avon is open Mondays from 2-5pm, Saturdays from 9am-12pm and Sundays from 1-4pm.
