Builder the perfect fit for family’s new home

Less than a year since purchasing their block, Katy Vincent and Nathan Hazlewood’s new home at The Crescent in Viveash is close to completion in the serene estate.

Nestled between Guildford and the Swan River, and just 18km from the Perth CBD, the location offers a great outdoors lifestyle for those seeking sanctuary from the city.

The Crescent delivers tranquil living in close proximity to the lively Guildford and Midland hubs, and just minutes away from the Swan Valley’s world-class wineries.

The couple were sold on the location and large blocks on offer at The Crescent, purchasing a lot that offered a lifestyle up-close to nature, while not far from shops, restaurants, health facilities and a number of well-known and highly regarded secondary schools.

They are now close to completing their new home with award-winning WA builder Switch Homes.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home rests on a 893sqm corner block and was designed to incorporate plenty of storage for their combined households and assorted outdoor activity items, including motorbikes, 4WDs, bikes and kayaks.

With a wealth of construction experience and strong supplier relationships, Switch Homes was the perfect fit for the couple’s home build at The Crescent.

Ms Vincent said the build had been smooth sailing from the moment Switch Homes laid the slab, with their beautiful home scheduled to be completed next month, shortly before the couple gets married.

“Our site supervisor Vince and scheduler Steph from Switch have been absolutely fantastic,” she said.
“Knowing my future husband works fly-in, fly-out, they have been extremely helpful by organising site visits to suit our schedule and keeping me up-to-date over the past nine months.

“Vince promises me the house will be completed before mid-April when we get married, and I’m taking his word on that because he has delivered on every commitment so far.”

Ms Vincent said her family had outgrown their current home and needed a much bigger block to accommodate their outdoor lifestyles.

“We can’t wait to move in and take the kayaks out,” she said. “From where we are, we will be able to kayak straight across to the wineries.”

Lots at The Crescent are now selling; they range from 369sqm to 888sqm and start from $230,000, including a number of titled lots ready to build on straight away.
